Any smart marketer puts a lot of thought into crafting the perfect words for a title, but are you optimizing the length. For that matter are you paying attention to the length of your Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn posts?

For example let’s consider your next blog post.

According to the infographic your title should be 6 words, be sure to make every one count. Your actual posts should be around 1600 words, this is an average you need to consider your target audience and adjust accordingly. You should keep your paragraphs 40 – 55 words for easy reading.

When promoting your blog post on social media your hashtags should be 6 characters. Keep your tweets between 71 – 100 characters. Headlines for Facebook should be short with only 40 characters and Google+ should target around 60. Remember your headlines should catch the users attention and draw them to reading more.
